New Project: Thousand Hand Guan Yin

I'm currently working on a new project in pastel pencils on senneliar la carte pastel card! I'm using the verdoccio technique to build the flesh tone with green undertone, this juxtaposition creates a vibrate effect.

This is a photography taken at one of my friend's dance performance. Thousand Hand Guan Yin is a stunning stage performance traditional Chinese dance. The thousand hands of this bodhisattva represent Guan Yin's many abilities to render assistance. There are a thousand eyes on these hands which give Guan Yin great powers to observe the world. Guan Yin also has many faces so she can become who people need her to be, not necessarily herself, because her help is given in a way that is literally selfless.

I'm now onto the first layer of sketching out the outline, and I'll be updating the progress as I go along!
